Vaera · Last updated August 30, 2026

Vaera ("we", "our", "the app") helps you build a healthier relationship with your screen time by turning focused work into spendable minutes. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled.

Account & identity

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique account identifier, and — only if you choose to share it — your name and email address, used solely to identify your account and let you sync across devices. We never see your Apple ID or Google password.

What we store on our servers

Vaera is a synced app: your progress is stored on our backend (Supabase) so it's available across your devices and so features like leaderboards, friend circles, and challenges can work. This includes:

Credit balances, transactions, and subscription status are treated as sensitive and are only ever written by our server after independent verification — never taken on trust from the app itself.

Screen Time data — what we never collect

App blocking uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity). The apps and categories you choose to block are represented to Vaera as opaque tokens provided by Apple — Vaera never learns the real name of the apps you've selected, never reads their content, and never sees your activity inside them. This authorization can be reviewed or revoked at any time in the iOS Settings app.

We do not capture screenshots, record your screen, or inspect the content of any other app.

What we never do

Data deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated server-side data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.
